This was the challenge undertaken by our engineering team at UWATEC. The result is Galileo, a completely innovative and new platform created by UWATEC, the dive industry leader since our first Aladin computer was introduced close to 20 years ago. Full-Tilt Digital Compass with Bearing Memory: A powerful navigational system with integrated digital compass that remains accurate regardless of inclination, a diving industry first. You can set a bearing to navigate to and from a desired destination both on the surface and underwater.

 Extra-large Dot Matrix Display and Huge Memory: View pictures and charts during the dive; store images of dive sites and upload tables or messages for easy communication.

   PDIS (Profile Dependent Intermediate Stops) optimizes your dive in complete security.  The PDIS option calculates an intermediate stop based on how much nitrogen uptake your body has endured, taking into account your current dive, previous dives and breathing mixes.

Alarms and warnings displayed in text in the language of choice: You will never misunderstand an essential beep underwater because Galileo spells it out. You decide. Warnings can be visual, audible or both.

Galileo’s user interface is as easy to use, program and view as a cell phone: Menus, settings and functions are in your language of choice.

Infrared technology and PC download capability: Lets you continue your dive experience once you get out of the water. You can log, organise, analyse and print details of each dive and even compare your dive profile to your buddy’s.

Predictive Multi Gas (Available as upgrade): Allows you to enjoy the full benefits of carrying high oxygen concentration mixes in addition to your main breathing gas. Our algorithm predicts the switch to the new mix and includes it in the deco calculation plus prompts you to use it at the correct depth.

Exclusive Heart Rate Monitoring System (Available as upgrade): Galileo is the first and only dive computer to have an integrated heart rate monitor, incorporating the heartbeat into the workload, and then tailoring the decompression calculations to your dive.

The air-integrated Smart COM featuring Smart technology shares all features with the Smart PRO and adds information on diver‘s air consumption and remaining bottom time via the traditional high pressure hose.

True Remaining Bottom Time (RBT) calculation (patented). Combines breathing data, depth, temperature and decompression forecast in a powerful calculation that allows the diver to perform a safe ascent, including all ascents and decompression obligations, and to reach the surface with the predetermined tank reserve (user adjustable between 290 and 1015 psi).
4350 psi compatibility.

Aladin PRIME represents the core of the Aladin line. Engineered for recreational divers who appreciate detailed, yet easily accessible information, PRIME is the most complete dive computer in its class. It offers great features, like full watch function and a basic choice of adjustments without the need of a PC. New for 2007, Aladin PRIME features adjustable ppO2 between 1.0 and 1.6 bar.

• Console Options (3-in-line console, or 2/1 console) which incorporates analog 400 bar cylinder pressure gauge and FS-1 compass

• Adaptive Algorithm (ZH-L8 ADT). This exclusive UWATEC algorithm increases safety and maximizes bottom time by constantly adjusting the decompression plan during the dive when risk factors like cold water, fast ascents or the potential for formation of micro bubbles are detected.
  
  
• Nitrox compatibility 21-50 percent (1 percent  Increments). Ideal for recreational nitrox diving
  
  
• Adjustable PPO2 between 1.2 and 1.6 Bar.
  
  
• Full Watch Function. Features wake-up alarm, 12 or 24-hour

• Toggle through Essential Information during Dive Mode. Max depth, temperature, time of day; and activate backlight; entering any surface interval to better plan the next dive.
  
  
• Desaturation Reset Function. Useful in dive schools or in rental facilities (via safety code).
  
  
• User Replaceable Battery with Sealed Battery Compartment. Protects the computer from improper handling and facilitates battery exchange.

Data Transfer & Memory

• 25 Hours of Profile Storage at 4-second Sampling Rate. Large memory holds more than a week’s worth of diving, high sampling rate preserves all details about the dives.

• Infrared Technology. Wireless data transfer of dive profile information to PC, MAC or PDA via SmartTRAK, JTRAK or TravelTRAK software, respectively.

This lightweight and compact boot accommodates the pressure gauge and depth gauge of the U-line family. Great as a primary or back-up instrument for recreational or more experienced divers.
